After a great deal of collaboration and hard work, the FAA's Enterprise Services Center (ESC) successfully implemented Oracle’s eBusiness Suite (EBS) G-Invoicing solution for multiple customers. According to the General Services Administration (GSA), G-invoicing is a solution to address accounting and reporting challenges around any buy/sell transactions by providing a common platform for intergovernmental transactions.
G-Invoicing allows the capture of advance payments from accounts receivable receipts against each performance obligation line, generates advance performance, and acknowledges it by sending it back to the buyer through the G-Invoicing application. This is one of the largest initiatives ESC has worked on with collaboration across the federal government.
The G-Invoicing implementation is a monumental effort across AFN functional areas that began for many members of the team in 2016 by attending and participating in the Intragovernmental (IGT) Working Group. ESC became one of four Oracle Early Adopters in 2019 and the team has been working directly with Oracle Support ever since. This has been a collaborative effort between ESC Information Services and ESC Financial Services from development, testing, training, working sessions, etc. and could not have been done without a tremendous amount of effort by the teams.
The ESC G-Invoicing team will continue to work on issues, install patches, and work with Oracle support to roll this tool out across all customers. The team will carry on with supporting all ESC customers to ensure they are successful with the G-Invoicing mandate. ESC customers will keep on-boarding additional G-Invoicing activity in Delphi throughout FY23 while the team also focuses on the preparation for the second phase of the mandate. To ensure success for ESC customers, the team provides remote customer support for G-Invoicing transactional processing and is available any time a customer needs assistance or has questions. In addition, the team is focused on providing monthly status updates to all agencies, while working on further enhancements to the system and providing overall second-to-none customer service.

As one of the first government agencies to fully embrace and implement G-Invoicing, ESC is once again leading the way!
