Is this a great place to work, or what?! Every year the Partnership for Public Service releases their "Best Places to Work in the Federal Government" rankings. These rankings are calculated based on answers from the annual Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey, evaluating responses to a few key questions. The 2020 results were announced in late June: The Department of Transportation, the parent department for the Federal Aviation Administration, ranks as the #3 best place to work in the Federal Government!
Following only the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the United States Intelligence Community, the Department of Transportation moved up two spots from their 2019 ranking of #5 in the Federal Government. Driving these results was an increase in employee satisfaction with their jobs and the organization as a whole. More people recommend the Department of Transportation as a good place to work!
On top of this good news, the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) was recently named a "Top 20 Workplace" in the State of Oklahoma! In September of 2020, Energage and The Oklahoman newspaper hosted a survey in which employees voluntarily and anonymously participated (to express their feelings about employee engagement at the MMAC). The Aeronautical Center received high markings from employees regarding their immediate supervisors. Employees feel supported and heard. In fact, the Aeronautical Center was in the 75th percentile for just this one category. This achievement reinforces the credibility of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center’s ability to recruit prospective applicants and attract top talent. Everyone wants to be part of a winning team!
The 2021 Top Oklahoma Workplaces Survey will be released soon! Be sure to participate, and let Oklahoma know what a great place the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center is to work!
