12th Annual AFN Awards Ceremony

The Office of Finance and Management (AFN) hosted its 12th Annual Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, June 12th, from Noon to 1 p.m.

Assistant Administrator for Finance and Management (AFN-001) Mark House and his leadership team presented the awards to 18 winning individuals and teams from the Bessie Coleman Center at FAA headquarters in Washington D.C. The virtual feed via Zoom webinar was aired at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in the auditorium at the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute. Michelle Coppedge, Director of the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center presented awards virtually from Washington D.C. Coppedge expressed, "It is such a pleasure to work among so many innovative and talented employees who are dedicated to success. These awards represent a culmination of hard work and perseverance. I am honored to recognize so many individuals for their personal achievements and what this means to the Aeronautical Center, the FAA, and the federal government as a whole."

The AFN annual Awards recognize employees for superior performance and professionalism that demonstrate AFN’s core values – integrity, teamwork and collaboration, efficiency, quality with speed, and innovation.

This year’s awards are for work completed in 2023, which illustrates AFN’s role in hiring air traffic controllers, maintaining the safety of the National Airspace System, and protecting all of the FAA’s systems and data.
