Some would say that it’s been a tough year, as more and more people are faced with a fast-changing financial reality. However, this did not keep our compassionate Aeronautical Center employees from participating in the 2022 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).

The 2022 MMAC CFC campaign delivered the Center’s first in-person keyworker training and CFC kickoff and charity fair since 2019. There were several chili cookoffs in different organizations, charity fairs (both virtual and in person), basket auctions, and participation in the Center’s first Holiday Extravaganza in December.

According to Center CFC Chair Debbie Uglean, "The campaign this year was a challenge because we still have such a mix of employees working in-person at the Center and teleworking. The Chairs, keyworkers, and coordinators had to get creative in working to deliver CFC education and to create events, both in person and virtually."

The fundraising goal for the campaign was set at $220,000 and to date has reached $208,831, with pledge-card submissions still being counted; so that final number is likely to go up. The Center has a lot to be proud of with this number, as we ended up leading the Oklahoma/North Texas zone in fundraising and in a friendly, competitive spirit, we surpassed Tinker Air Force Base’s fundraising total.

"We are already making plans for the 2023 campaign in messaging and outreach. With approximately 309 MMAC CFC donors out of the entire Center population, there’s still a lot of work we need to do in educating our workforce on what the Combined Federal Campaign is, and how our participation impacts the community and ourselves. One of my favorite quotes is ’We rise by lifting others,’ by Robert G. Ingersoll." stated Uglean.
