Protection through Protocols
Vol.7 Issue 8
COVID card on mask

The global health crisis has changed the way that we think about how we work and how we live. Through FDA-recommended health protocols like physical distancing, masking, and vaccinations, we stand a better chance of safely opening the workplace again and bolstering our nation’s economic recovery.

As you have probably seen in recent emails, the DOT and FAA are preparing plans for the return of federal employees and contractors on maximum telework to their physical FAA workplaces. This is an evolving situation as conditions change, and you can find the latest guidance on the FAA’s Future of Work website under Guiding Principles.

We continue to celebrate the Aeronautical Center’s 75th Anniversary this year! You will see articles in this issue that highlight our rich and innovative history. We’re also featuring articles that show how we are positioning the Center for a vibrant future, highlighting MMAC Tech Talks, the transition of our Center to the latest internet protocol, and leadership programs designed to develop the next generation of leaders across the FAA. We also hosted a virtual, Center-wide Town Hall recently, with over 700 participants. The town hall reviewed FY 2021 successes and shared some of our exciting future projects and programs that will ensure MMAC’s relevance in the coming years.

Next month we will learn whether or not we have been selected as a Top Workplace in Oklahoma for the second year in a row. The announcement will come on December 9th. We appreciate all who participated in the Top Workplaces survey, it has been an interesting year for all of us. We have learned that for some of our mission areas, being in maximum telework status has improved our operational metrics and our engagement scores. Whether you have been on-Center executing critical hands-on mission requirements or in maximum telework, we want to thank each of you for your dedication and commitment to all of our MMAC customers!

Helping people in need never goes out of style. We are grateful to the True Sky Credit Union Foundation and Children’s Miracle Network for recently hosting a golf tournament and raising $102K for the cause. The golf tournament was a huge success.

As a reminder, the annual Combined Federal Campaign is also underway. Our goal for this year is to raise $245K, and giving of your time or money has never been easier. Please take a minute to visit the MMAC CFC website and do what you can to create a positive change in our world.

Kindly,
Michelle
