The Aeronautical Center’s Chapter of the National Hispanic Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (NHCFAE) in cooperation with the Blue Sky Café, is offering employees and visitors to a lunch, helping to kick off National Hispanic Heritage Month.
This is a great way to promote the history, culture and contributions of Hispanic-Americans, people whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Each year, September 15 - October 15th marks the timeframe for this important month. Within these dates, marks the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries: El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Honduras. Independence for Mexico and Chile fell on September 16th and September 18th. October 12th marks Dia de la Raza or Columbus Day.
A special menu at Blue Sky Café will be prepared highlighting Hispanic-themed culinary creations. Please make plans to enjoy a celebratory lunch:
