The third week of July was MMAC’s kick-off for the second cohort of the Aeronautical Center Employee Development (AsCEnD) program, with 25 of the 30 participants in attendance at the Headquarters building’s newly remodeled auditorium. Morning activities included a "Welcome" from Center leadership and a Center briefing overview. Three alumni members from Cohort #1 were invited to receive their completion certificates and attended the event.
The day’s activities involved new member introductions, including what organization’s they represent, and what they hope to get out of the program. The group then participated in fun icebreaking activities, followed by a group lunch in the Blue Sky Cafe, and a tour of the Logistics Center. The day wrapped up with a program overview, giveaways, and a feedback session regarding the first cohort’s impressions. "The amount of engagement, connection, and laughter among the participants was amazing, and was confirmation of just how valuable this program is," stated Debbie Uglean, AsCEnD Program Manager. It’s official… The 7-month program is now underway.
