The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring that people can fly safely and efficiently throughout our National Airspace System. The FAA focus is on air transportation safety, including the enforcement of safety standards for aircraft manufacturing, operation and maintenance.

The FAA’s commitment to safety and the mission is a team effort amongst all stakeholders, public and private. The FAA is committed to a diverse workforce and innovation that continues to push the industry in developing new opportunities and ideas to ensure the safety of our skies. Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is more than policies, programs, or headcounts. It is respecting the unique needs, perspectives and potential of all team members. More succinctly, DEI is an integral part of American strength that embraces an inclusive environment that is shaping new ideas and leading advancements in innovation. It will also create a foundation for broad perspectives to be shared in the workforce to meet all challenges and opportunities.
