Important Benefits to Save You Money
Vol.7 Issue 5

The FAA’s Benefits and Operations Center (BOC) continues to expand education and counseling resources to FAA employees on important benefit topics. A new quarterly webinar series is planned on the topic of the Federal Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS) as administered by HealthEquity.

Flexible Spending Account for Federal Employees

These webinars will review important FSAFEDS information. The webinars will cover the basics of eligibility and enrollment for FSAFEDS during Open Season and using Qualified Life Events (QLE). Anna Weathers and Tavia Trost from HealthEquity will discuss how the FSAFEDS accounts can save you money on medical and dependent care expenses using pre-tax dollars. They will provide an overview of the benefit period, how to file claims, and important dates to remember. They will also address some of the recent changes in the FSAFEDS program and how they affect your existing accounts or eligibility to enroll outside of open season.

The webinars feature a live question and answer session following each presentation. Current FSAFEDS enrollees and anyone interest in learning more about Flexible Spending Account options are encouraged to attend. Two webinar dates have been scheduled, and additional dates will be announced at a later date on the BOC Seminars page. You can save up to 30% by using pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible health care or dependent care expenses. In the webinar, you can learn which programs are best suited for you and your family.
