Great news! As of May 12th, 2021, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Financial and Acquisition Migration Program successfully went live! The Enterprise Services Center (ESC) received concurrence from OPM to begin processing transactions in Delphi. This plan originated back in 2017, and in spite of the COVID setback, the plan materialized. Many ESC employees worked long hours and into the night leading up to the go-live date, to make sure the process was successful. Michelle Coppedge, Director of the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) said, "I’m so proud of this team and the many sacrifices made to make this project a reality!"
This partnership between the FAA’s ESC, DOT, and OPM exemplifies the value of shared services across government. We are now officially in the Post Transition support phase of the program. We are looking forward to celebrating this great achievement in a virtual ceremony on May 25th!
Mark House, Assistant Administrator for Finance and Management (AFN-1) offered his appreciation and stated, "Outstanding! This is a big deal! Please pass along my congratulations to the team that made this happen!"
Lana Hurdle, Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget and Programs is excited about the new partnership and said, "I am glad OPM is finally here all the way! I know this was a lot of work and did not happen by magic!" She passed her appreciation to ESC for all of their efforts to make it happen. She said, "It’s like having a new baby in the DOT Family!"
This is a great day for DOT and ESC and we are excited to have OPM onboard.
