As the saying goes, "Every cloud has a silver lining." The coronavirus pandemic has required many FAA employees to shelter-in-place and telework. However, this arrangement gives employees a small gift of extra time. Now that many employees no longer have to stop and consider a dress code on their way out the door or spend time commuting to work, they have an opportunity to invest that new-found time! This is an excellent time to learn new skills, improve oneself, and grow in new ways.

Below is a selection of self-improvement resources that can be found in Skillsoft/Skillport. Take advantage of 3 easy ways to access free training content:

  • Log into eLMS and search the catalog for "Skillsoft Books 24 X 7", then launch your content.
  • Connect to https://dot.skillport.com and log-in. Note: Skillport content completions are recorded in your Skillport Learning Transcript.
  • On your smart phone, go to the App Store and search "Skillsoft Learning App." Follow the steps to download and install. Launch the App and then when prompted, type "DOT" into Skillport site.

Please note: When registering for the first time, you must use your PIV and answer some security questions. Log-in using your access credentials and then personalize your experience by accessing audiobooks, videos, books, etc.
