Happy 2024 to everyone, and we are excited about all the possibilities that a New Year brings. We are proud to have a kick start in being designated as a Top Workplace in Oklahoma. Thanks to your input and feedback, we are honored to be among the top employers who scored the highest in the large business category. We were the only federal agency in the competition. We are grateful to have such dedicated and professional employees. You are the energy behind the Aeronautical Center, aiding us in accomplishing our mission. Seeing many of you during the recent Open House and sharing brief but meaningful conversations was terrific. It’s good to know what’s going on in your life and your organization. Thanks to nearly 250 of you, who took the time to stop by and converse with us and your other colleagues.
In a memo from FAA Administrator Mike Whitaker on November 28th, we were notified that beginning on pay period January 28th, 2024, telework-eligible employees with approved telework agreements will report in person to their official worksite for an average of four days per pay period. This increased on-site presence allows us to have increased collaboration, building upon our MMAC culture of excellence and engagement. For your convenience, a link to the Future of In-Person Work page is an available resource to you. Thanks to the teamwork and collaboration between management, labor unions, and contract services, these return-to-work efforts have been proactively planned and staged so that MMAC’s building spaces, janitorial services, food services, and other amenities meet the needs of every employee.
As the New Year kicks off, there are several recently remodeled buildings Multi-Purpose Building (MPB) and the Base Maintenance Building (BMB) of which to celebrate, and the construction of the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute’s new Wind and Waves Evacuation and Survival (WiWAVES) is getting closer to completion. Regardless of your work location over the past few years, we appreciate your unwavering dedication to the Aeronautical Center’s mission. We are thankful that you chose to be a Civil Servant working for the FAA at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center. The work you do each and every day is vital for our nation and for the flying public! Keep up the great work and we want your return to the workplace to be a great experience!
Kindly,
Michelle Coppedge
