The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Updates and Undertakings
Vol.9 Issue 7
"Give Happy" with federal employees holding those letters.

The 2023 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is well underway as the kickoff began on October 2nd. We are only in week number four of the campaign, and we have already raised nearly $60,000 in donations! There are many ways to get involved, so watch your inbox for activities and visit CFC.

"With our great campaign co-chairs, increasing employee engagement across the Center, and excitement coming from this year’s campaign volunteers, I feel like this is going to be a great campaign!" stated CFC lead co-chair Debbie Uglean.

Lunchtime charity fairs continue to be held in the Blue Sky Café each Wednesday afternoon from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Charity tables are set up in the main entrance and in the hallway leading to the ARB building. Watch for Broadcast messages each week for information on the kinds of charities attending or any changes to the schedule.

We just finished Military and Veteran Services Cause Week. Having over 1,200 veterans working at the Aeronautical Center, we are grateful to have so many who have served in our nation’s defense. While these selfless individuals preserve and protect our freedoms around the globe, we know that the price of their service is never free. There are many ways your donations can help, whether it is providing service animals or prosthetics to wounded warriors or helping military members by providing personal care kits. CFC is far-reaching, and this week is a great way to show our veterans and active-duty members that we care about them and their families.

Plans are currently underway for multiple fundraising events across the Center. Volunteers are also working on bringing the MMAC Telethon back in person! For those employees who remember CFC Howl-N-Scream events in the past, there will be an element of this in this year’s telethon in the form of a lip sync contest during lunchtime of the telethon. The telethon is tentatively scheduled to take place in early December. CFC charities were represented at this year’s Veteran’s Day Celebration and will be at the Second Annual Holiday Mingle & Jingle event. If you or your team are interested in providing content for this year’s telethon or have an act for the lip sync contest, please contact Debbie Uglean.

There’s 3 Easy Steps to Giving:

  1. Choose your cause.
Whether you care about finding cures for diseases, supporting military families, or promoting equality for all, the CFC has vetted charities for any Cause you want to support. You can even give to multiple charities with one pledge.

  2. Make your pledge.
Our favorite giving option, the online pledge portal, allows you to renew your pledge each year easily and offers the full range of pledge options:
    • Payroll deduction (the most popular)
    • Credit/debit card
    • E-check/bank transfer
    • Volunteer hours (Federal employees only)

Other options include the CFC Giving Mobile App, Text to Give, and paper pledge forms.

  3. Change the World.
Thanks to your generosity, CFC charities will make a difference in our local communities, nation, and worldwide.
