The Federal Aviation Administration’s Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in partnership with AAR, Airframe Maintenance-Oklahoma City and the Metro Technology Center’s Aviation Career Campus are excited to announce the return of the Aviation Career Education (ACE) Camp with this year’s theme: "I am an Aviation Influencer"! There will be two free, four-day in-person camps held the week of June 6-9 and June 20-23, 2023. Each camp will run Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students who will be in the 7th and 8th grades during the 2023-2024 school year are eligible to apply and encouraged to take advantage of this incredibly fun and educational opportunity!
ACE Camp’s mission is to introduce students to a variety of careers available in aerospace, learn about aviation, and understand the importance that air transportation plays in our economy and society. The camp is free, but the application process is a competitive one, as only 26 students are selected for each camp (for a total of 52 students). Interested students must complete an application and provide one letter of recommendation (see Part 4 of the application for instructions) to be eligible.
The deadline for receipt of applications is May 5, 2023. A selection committee reviews the applications and makes determinations for 26 students to attend each camp. Students must submit the application and letter of recommendation through one of the options below:
Please share this exciting opportunity with all interested 7th and 8th graders!
