Accessing Wi-Fi at the Center Just Got Easier
Vol.4 Issue 7
Various electronic devices networked together for FAA Employee services.

On August 16th, 2018, FAA personnel located at the Aeronautical Center began using the FAA Employee wireless network to automatically connect their FAA-furnished laptops and mobile devices to the MMAC Wireless network.

The Office of Information and Technology (AIT) and the Enterprise Service Center (ESC) activated the FAA’s “FAAEmployee” wireless network in 63 buildings on the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) premises that are equipped with wireless infrastructure. FAA personnel will be able to use this wireless network to automatically connect their FAA-furnished laptops and iOS mobile devices to the network.

This is the same employee wireless service that is available in many other FAA facilities.

How will FAA personnel connect to the FAA Employee wireless network?

Laptops: Your FAA-furnished laptop will automatically connect to the FAAEmployee wireless network as soon as you remove the laptop from its dock when you are inside a wireless-enabled MMAC campus building.

iOS Mobile Devices: Your FAA-furnished iOS mobile device will automatically connect to the FAA Employee wireless network when you are inside a wireless-enabled MMAC building if the mobile device is enrolled in the FAA’s Mobile Device Management (MDM) system. All new FAA-furnished mobile devices come with instructions on how to do so, or you can contact the MyIT Service Center for assistance.

As a reminder, personal devices are NOT permitted on the FAAEmployee wireless network in accordance with FAA policy.
