A Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card or more commonly known as an FAA ID is required for access to the Aeronautical Center by all Federal or Contract employees at all FAA facilities.
To obtain a badge:
These three steps must be accomplished before coming to the Security Command Center (SCC);
When the PIV application has been sponsored, the applicant will receive an email notifying them to come to the Security Command Center (SCC), ID Media Counter, Bldg. 230, Room 11, to enroll for their PIV Card. Sending people to the SCC before these steps are finished creates longer lines and more frustration for the applicant while they are waiting for their application to be sponsored by their organization.
Each MMAC Organization must sponsor applications for all of their Federal and Contract employees. This has to be completed before Security can process the application to order a PIV Card. An organization can have multiple sponsors; in addition they may add or delete a sponsor at any time by contacting the Security office.
The ID Media Counter is staffed Monday through Friday 7:00am – 3:00pm. All applicants are required to provide two forms of identification (e.g. driver’s license, passport, unexpired PIV card, etc.) to complete the enrollment process. Please note, new PIV cards are produced offsite so a temporary badge will be issued until the permanent badge arrives, normally within 7-10 days.
Please call (405) 954-5626 if there are any questions regarding badge issuance.
The Security and Investigations Division (AMC-700) is staffed with Special Agents who conduct Internal Investigations, Facility Security Inspections, Personnel Security Adjudications, ID Media Issuance, Regulatory Investigations as well as liaison duties for all Federal, State, local, tribal and international law enforcement agencies. AMC-700 is a tenant organization reporting directly to the Deputy Associate Administrator for the Office of Security & Hazardous Materials Safety (ASH-2) in Washington D.C. However, AMC-700 supports the Aeronautical Center Director and serves as the Servicing Security Element (SSE) for the MMAC.
