Starting the week of May 13 through June 28 you will have the opportunity to participate in a government-wide employee survey, the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS). Here are a few facts about the annual survey:
- Survey invite will come via email with a personalized link to the survey. Do not share your link with anyone else.
- The survey is developed by the United States Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
- Congress requires that OPM survey all Federal employees once annually to get their opinions on what it is like to work for their Agency.
- Congress requires that the survey cover categories like:
- leadership and management practices that contribute to agency performance;
- leadership policies and practices;
- work environment;
- employee rewards and recognition;
- opportunity for professional development and growth; and
- opportunity to contribute to achieving organizational mission.
- Covering this many topics means the survey is relatively long, so employees are allowed 30 minutes during the workday to complete the survey.
- The FAA uses the survey results to undertake action plans, typically at a higher level, to address major issues across the Agency.
- MMAC uses the results in conjunction with our team-focused AMC Employee Engagement Survey to validate our local efforts to improve employee engagement.
- The survey is guaranteed to be anonymous. Managers CANNOT determine any individual responses.
- All Federal employees who were on the FAA employment rolls on November 30, 2023, will receive the survey.
- If you were hired after November 30, you will not receive a survey. If you worked for another FAA organization and moved to MMAC you will probably receive a survey, but it will likely be included in your previous organization’s results.
- Contractors are not included in the survey.
We hope you will take the time to complete the survey. The more people who take the survey the more accurate the survey results. We want the action plans that arise from this survey to focus on what is important to you. So let our leaders and managers know how you feel!
