In the fall of 2023, the FAA launched a career development event called "Reaching New Heights" to promote professional development for employees at all levels. FAA leaders kicked off the half-day event at the FAA headquarters building by sharing their personal and professional journeys and creating a safe space for participants to engage in candid dialogues about the obstacles they face.
FAA leadership shared insights into finding career support, the ability to achieve work-life balance, how to navigate challenging work environments, and ways to attain professional fulfillment.
Attendees received tips to progress through their careers during small group speed mentoring, as well as training sessions on writing winning resumes, behavior-based interviews, and techniques to improve business writing.
Participants were reminded that the FAA offers a variety of opportunities to leverage their skills, helping employees to continue to grow, and to try different approaches to bring the best of their talents to the workplace.
