Calling All Volunteers for Upcoming STEM Outreach Events

Volunteers Needed

Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of aerospace employees? We have an exciting lineup of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) outreach events this fall and are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to make these events truly impactful. Whether you’re available for just one event or several, your participation is invaluable.

Here is a rundown of the upcoming events where volunteer help is needed:

  1. Girls in Aviation (Wiley Post)
    • Date: September 21, 2024
    • Time: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
    • Details: Volunteers needed for the flight simulator, table activities, and other hands-on activities.
    • Partner: FAAST Team

  2. OU Aviation Festival
    • Date: September 28, 2024
    • Location: Max Westheimer, Norman
    • Time: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
    • Details: Partnering with the FAAST Team again, we need volunteers to help engage attendees.

  3. Innovation Week (Oklahoma Science Museum)
    • Date: September 30 – October 3, 2024
    • Details:
      1. 9/30: Set up and Teacher Preview
      2. 10/1 – 10/3: Help needed with flight simulators and managing the table over three days, as well as with set up and break down.

  4. Sky is the Limit (Broken Arrow)
    • Date: October 29, 2024
    • Time: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
    • Details: Engage with participants and inspire future aviators.

  5. TSA Fall Conference (Norman)
    • Date: November 5, 2024
    • Details: Interact with 500+ high school students and teachers, exposing them to STEM-related careers.

  6. Geekapalooza (Rose State College)
    • Date: November 9, 2024
    • Time: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
    • Details: A public event for all ages with over 1,000 attendees. Volunteers needed for an interactive activity.

  7. Jobs Explained Aerospace Fair (Tulsa)
    • Date: November 14, 2024
    • Details: Speak to 75 eighth graders about scholarship and internship opportunities in the aerospace field.
