It is spring once again! Spring in Oklahoma means wind… and lots of it! The Oklahoma winds are here, just in time for the 2021 Kite Expo at the Scissortail Park in downtown Oklahoma City. Bring your kite and take advantage of the breeze at the Kite Expo on April 17, 2021, from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Professional kite flyers will out on the main lawn of the Scissortail Park throughout the day, putting on demonstrations and performances. There will also be fun, kite-themed crafts and activities for children to enjoy. Be sure to stop by the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) booth presented by Oklahoma Engineering Foundation (OEF) and Central Oklahoma STEM Alliance, and learn more about the science of kite-flying. Don’t worry if you left your kite at home… Bank of Oklahoma will be giving away free kites to the first 150 participants. Kite kits will also be available for purchase at the Scissortail Park from multiple vendors. Feel free to decorate and bedazzle your kite at the kite building and decorating station! Then launch your kite and let it soar in the beautiful Oklahoma skies!
