Nominations for the Annual Pathfinder Awards Are Now Open
Vol.10 Issue 2
Aeronautical Center’s Pathfinder Awards uses the Center’s strategic priorities of cost-effectiveness, communication, collaboration, and culture to recognize exceptional work.

The 2023 Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) Pathfinder Awards Nominations are now open. The Pathfinder is the MMAC Director’s Award of Excellence and is the only MMAC-based awards program that honors federal employees at the Aeronautical Center.

The Pathfinder Awards is an opportunity for employees to recognize themselves or others and for supervisors to recognize their employees’ 2023 award-worthy achievements.

The performance period for this award spans the previous year (January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023). Note: Nominated employees must have been employed and have been a part of the project during this performance period.

These Awards focus on the MMAC’s Strategic Priorities of Cost Effectiveness, Collaboration, Communication, and Culture (commonly known as the 4-C’s). They are an excellent way for personnel to recognize the exceptional work accomplished at the Center.

On February 14, 2024, an MMAC broadcast email titled "Now Accepting Nominations for the Pathfinder Awards" notified all MMAC personnel that nominations are now open. This email contained the Pathfinder Program Information, Categories, and Nomination Application Link.

Submitting a nomination is as Easy as 1-2-3,

Step 1:Review the information and categories in the February 14, 2024 email.
Step 2:Complete and Submit the Pathfinder Awards Nomination Form using the link in the email and
Step 3:The award selection panel will evaluate and rate the applications based on the criteria.

Last season, in October, the MMAC held its first in-person Pathfinder Awards Ceremony since the beginning of the global health crisis, and the event was exceptional. The MMAC Director, Michelle Coppedge, was excited that the program received 23 individual and 23 team nominations, especially since employees could enjoy the program in a newly renovated headquarters auditorium. Coppedge and the MMAC Deputy Director, Kevin O’Connor, were pleased to present the awards to the winners and recognize those nominated. Coppedge hopes this year’s event will meet or surpass last season’s ceremony.
