Keeping the Focus on Facility Capital Improvements
Vol.10 Issue 1

The MMAC Office of Facility Management (AMP) strives to maintain a world class federal facility that supports the important mission-focused work performed by Aeronautical Center employees and contractors every day. One critical aspect of maintaining a top-notch facility is capital improvements and building sustainment. AMP has a continual focus on the facility’s capital improvements and sustainment through complex planning and budgeting processes. They develop major projects based on many factors including: estimated lifecycle replacements, maintenance information, customer satisfaction surveys, organizational requests or requirements, emergencies, and many other factors.

To better communicate and provide awareness of their projects, AMP maintains a Three-Year Major Construction Forecast Map. This map and list of projects is updated annually. The forecasted timelines for projects are best estimates and can change depending on budgetary factors and operational requirements of facilities.
