Vol.10 Issue 3
Save the Date! Bring Your Child to Work Day April 25, 2024 from 9:00AM to 1:00PM

The Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center is proud to announce the return of Bring Your Child to Work Day on Thursday, April 25th from 9 am to noon.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to share with your children where you work and let them see first-hand some of the important work being accomplished throughout the Federal Aviation Administration. The event will kick off at 9:00 a.m. in the Headquarters Auditorium followed by optional activities throughout the Center. We hope this is an experience that will help expose your children to the wide range of aviation careers and spark their curiosity as they see the great work you do each and every day.

General Guidelines

  • Children must be of school age (Grades 1st - 12th)
  • Only children of Federal employees are allowed to participate. You must be the legal parent or guardian of the child. No grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family friends, etc. can participate. Unfortunately, children of Contract Employees are not allowed to participate in this event.
  • Children may come to work with their parent in the morning at the parent’s normal duty start time. The day will end at the MMAC for the children, at the end of their parent’s lunch period, no later than 1pm.
  • Parents will be required to either: (a) go inside the Visitor’s Center to sign in their children or (b) go through the Visitor’s Center Vehicle Gate to receive a pass. Sign-in options will not be available at the West or South Gates so as to not restrict normal traffic flow.
  • You must receive your manager’s approval prior to participating in the Bring Your Child to Work Day.
  • A Welcome Briefing will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the Headquarters Auditorium. All children and their parents are encouraged to attend.

Please be on the lookout for a broadcast message that contains additional details on the Bring Your Child to Work Day activities and schedule.
